Via Lactea Farm - Brookfield, New Hampshire

Via Lactea Farm is a small, diversified farm located in Brookfield. In 1994 Andy and Jenny Tapper resurrected an abandoned 1798 homestead and pursued their dream of owning and operating a self-sufficient farm. They cleared land for gardens and pasture, renovated the house and built outbuildings and barns, and learned animal husbandry with a small menagerie of livestock and poultry.

As the farm grew their dream evolved and today the farm is home of Brookfield Dairy Goat Milk Products. With the milk from their herd of 30 dairy goats, Jenny produces a variety of goat milk cheeses, yogurt and raw milk in glass bottles in a licensed dairy plant. Brookfield dairy products are sold at the farm, farmers’ markets and local grocers and restaurants. The farm produces poultry, pork, chevon, fresh eggs and maple syrup, which are sold from their farm storefront. Andy also manages the farm woodlot and processes firewood for sale locally.
