Granite State Dairy Promotion is a Non Profit 501(c)3 organization funded by New Hampshire dairy farmers. Fifteen cents per hundredweight of milk is taken from the producers' milk check. Ten cents of this goes to Granite State Dairy Promotion, and the other five cents goes to National Dairy Promotion.
Mission : The Mission of Granite State Dairy Promotion (GSDP) is to increase the sale and use of milk and other dairy products through promotional activities, nutrition education, and to enhance the image of the dairy industry in New Hampshire.
Goals:
1. Increase the sale and use of milk and other dairy products by making a connection between the New Hampshire farm (the source of milk production) and the dairy industry.
2. Increase the sale and use of milk and other dairy products by linking national and regional promotion campaigns to local promotions.
3. Increase the sale and use of milk and other dairy products and enhance the image of the dairy industry in New Hampshire by being a resource, information clearinghouse to address consumer concerns.
4. Increase the sale and use of milk and other dairy products by improving public perception of dairy products as wholesome and nutritious.
5. Increase the sale and use of milk and other dairy products by integrating dairy into at-home and food service menu decision-making.
6. Enhance the image of the dairy industry in New Hampshire by being a resource to farmers for public relations training, image-building and media communications.
